Aspect Cloud is Aspect Workflows as a multi-tenant service, run by Aspect. It gives a Bazel repository a shared remote cache and the Build Results UI with no cloud account to open and nothing to deploy. CI and developers share the cache. It’s for individual developers and teams who want shared caching and build history without running infrastructure. Setup is a login and a few Bazel flags, which the Aspect CLI writes for you.

What’s included

Until remote execution and CI runners arrive, actions run on your own machines with the cache in front of them, and your pipelines stay on the CI runners you already use.

Create an Aspect account on the Free tier. No credit card needed.

Connect your machine

The Quickstart installs the CLI and connects a build to Aspect Cloud. Local setup is the full version.

Add it to CI

One setup step on GitHub Actions, Buildkite, CircleCI or GitLab, on the runners you already have. Your existing bazel steps are unchanged. See CI setup.

Check the results

Open any build in the Build Results UI. The Cache tab shows the hit rate, and aspect cache diff lists any actions that missed.

Your team

Each developer signs in with their own Aspect account. An Account Owner or Account Admin invites teammates in Aspect settings and gives each one a role; Your Aspect account lists the roles.

Your data

Aspect Cloud runs on shared infrastructure. Every request is authenticated to your organization, and cache contents are encrypted at rest. You sign in with the same Aspect account that installs the GitHub and GitLab Apps. Security and data handling covers what Aspect Cloud stores and where; the security overview covers compliance, including Aspect’s SOC 2 Type 2 certification.
